Italian probably Venetian short sword, Storta. The sword retains its original leather covered wooden grip, typical s shaped guard with a side ring and lobed ends, also a matching lobed pommel. The broad multi fullered blade is double edged towards the point and is decorated with rows of maker marks on both sides. Overall pitting and staining but good steady condition. total length 74 cm, blade length 61.5 cm, 4.3 cm wide at the hilt and 4.5 cm at the bauble edge.
