Medieval sword in excavated condition, Oakeshott type X with a wheel shaped pommel and a straight cross guard tapering slightly towards its ends. The surface has a thick patina and pitting. The sword is solid with a springy blade. The blade had lost approximately 15 cm from its tip. Total length 80.5 cm. Blade 65 cm long. 6 cm wide at the cross guard. Guard 18.5 cm across. c 1000 - 1100
